RALEIGH, (SGRToday.com) - The next election is more than a year and a half away, but the National Republican Congressional Committee is paying close attention to one of the most vulnerable Democrats in the country: North Carolina's Rep. Mike McIntyre.
The NRCC announced this week it has launched a paid online banner ad in the 7th district highlighting what it terms "his support of Obama’s sequester and the wasteful spending it allows."
"While thousands of federal workers are being furloughed, a martian menu, climate change musical and NASA video games are just a few of the ludicrous programs Washington is funding instead," reads the NRCC's announcement.
McIntyre narrowly defeated Republican David Rouzer in the 2012 election and has already drawn a Democratic primary challenger for 2014.
